Another Long Throwback - Thailand Bangkok Trip 2012 4D3N, Day 1 and 2

Must complete and attempt to write all the places i have went before, so when i grow old, i will have a memory bank at least somewhere. As i do not go travelling often as i am not rich, i can only go overseas once a year when i have the money so, every memory is precious to me.

Day 1 - Arriving at Bangkok, first trip to Thailand

So going to Thailand is actually my first time and during then, i am already 18 years old. So we arrived at Thailand quite late on the first day and the check in to the hotel was horrible as well because it was a few days before Christmas and there was so many tourist and the whole lobby is packed with people. There was even a stage performance going on.

After we checked in, we did not do much. I think we just stayed in our room, prepared, have dinner and then went back to sleep. Hence, there was no photos. Or maybe there was but we just forgot where we left them.

Day 2 - 4 Face Buddha, Siam Niramit and Baiyoke Sky Revolving Platform

Starting the day off, we walked a distance to 4 Face Buddha. As it was my first time in Thailand, i had no idea where we were going and no one wanted to tell us. So we just walked, walked and walked. I was feeling really irritated and luckily, my big aunt say a mini 4 face Buddha in front of a shopping centre and we decided to take a break there while she prayed.

Wefie time - Credits to Jovi and her editing
During that time or rather that year, i was slightly in the full blown tomboy mode. So even my fashion is boyish. Now that i think back, i was rather unfashionable and ugly. Actually, i still am HAHAHA!

Getting a bird cage per family
Setting the bird free, praying for good luck and health
Till now i do not know what the water is for. If anyone knows, let me know in the comments
We went on the MK Restaurant in one of the shopping centres in Bangkok to have lunch. MK Restaurants serves steamboats and the food are by per serving so you eat what you pay, quite reasonable i must say.

No idea what i was doing, beside me is the birthday girl my cousin (her 20th)
Dear mum and lil sis when she still have
This is funny. A birthday card given by the restaurant
We walked around at nearby markets and shops after eating to digest our food. But however, not a lot of stores are open as they mostly starts in the evening

Photo taken with their staff. 80 baht per photo
Dinner in Siam Niramit with the family. I wonder what my mum was think when she took the photo
After the performance, look at me acting cute!
Siam Niramit is one of the must see-s in Thailand, it shows history and the beginnings of Life, Present and Death. There were hints of Buddhism as well because this is part of Thailand's culture, but fear not, people of all races can enter this place to view the performance. I think it will be a good chance for people of different religion to learn about other religion instead of criticizing and rejecting them. They are located in 2 places in Thailand so do visit if you have the chance.

At the end of the day, we decided to go to the revolving platform. Guest staying in the hotel can enter for free while for others, i think you have to enter with a fee.

Posing in the night scene. Bangkok looks pretty ok.
It was not what i had expected but still, the weather was nice and chilly.
Day 3 and 4 to be up once i am free, stay tuned! Cheers
